Creative Development Final

Here is the Final product of my Creative Development class. The idea was to use paint as a means to express movement. I was originally inspired by the Animator Blu. His paint on walls animation truly spoke to me and I wanted to appropriate and use his means of animation as my own. Enjoy :)

Animatic for Creative Development (Rough)

Here is my first draft of my Animatic with sound. I may edit it to be shorter, but this is generally how my film will progress.

Concept Images for Creative Development in Animation

Hey all!

For my exploration, my writing and sound experiment (for some reason, I can't upload a sound file to this blog) had concepts of spirituality, fractaling forms, repeating patterns and shapes. I want to incorporate these elements into the final work. Here are some of my conceptual drawings I did for my exploration assignment. I first did the one with the eye in the center as a sort of visual aid for the kind of look I hope to achieve with the final work. As I was illustrating the second one, I focused more on a character interaction which could be included. It has two fractaling forms which oppose each other based on their representation. They are inverted from each other and meet in the center where I will be animating some sort of interaction between the forms, but it wont be so simple that it ends up being a background piece, I want to stress the interaction between these 'characters' and push the foregrounded-ness of it.

Canada Line: Hallucination end of production notes.

Here is the final post for my production blog containing an image of the hand made Canada line set which was used in our final 10 second segment, video reference (staring me) which was used for our Rotoscoped character, my personal hallucination segment (in progress and finished version) as well as the 2 seconds of the rotoscoped segment that I did (seconds 6-8).

3D Character Animation Video references

Here are some videos I found for my 3D Animation class which I will use as a reference to hopefully portray a sneak attack on an unsuspecting guard or something. Kind of Rambo or stalking type of action. Here is a video of Solid Snake from the game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

This second video is of Rambo beheading someone. I am planning on using this video just for camera reference for my final render.

This is the kind of sneaky walk I want to do but with a bit more character and pause in action as If he is stalking someone. I am planning on adding a character to which he attacks but If not, I want to make sure the walk looks believable.
